Description:This work explores the symbiotic relationship between humans, algae, and the air we breathe. As the climate crisis intensifies, there isan urgent need to recognize the interdependent nature of ourmutualistic relationships. The living sculpture embodies thisconnection, inviting audiences to send care and energy to the algaegrowing within. Acrylic tanks form the word CARE, each serving as ahabitat where algae convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. At theproject’s conclusion, the remaining algae were used to createprints in a community workshop, extending the sculpture’s life.
